Kakikawa, meaning "oyster river" in Japanese*, is an original acrylic pour painting on canvas, rendered in the winter of 2020. It is painting #2 of my "30/30 Vision" series. It measures 12" high x 12" wide, and has the title in English and Japanese kanji, the year, and my signature on the back. A sawtooth hanger is attached to the top stretcher.  The canvas is gallery wrapped and painted on all sides, varnished, and ready to hang.

*This painting is a manifestation of my sincere appreciation for the people and culture of Japan. I am neither a Japanese national nor of Japanese descent; therefore, my use of kanji may be incorrect. I chose to write the title of the painting in the Japanese language as a display of my scholarly endeavors.  Please accept my apologies if I have poorly rendered and/or misused the characters.
